The 1814 Marriage Season is in full bloom, and ambitious mamas have dragged their hopeful offspring to the countryside for a weekend house-party at The Weis Mansion. All the fashionable set are here — diamonds, rakes, wallflowers, fortune-hunters, and chaperones alike — each hiding scandals behind the painted fans and practiced smiles of the Regency period.
As champagne flows, quadrilles spin, and whispered proposals are made in moonlit gardens, old grudges and secret engagements threaten to ruin more than reputations than any scandal sheets ever could.
When, halfway through the masquerade ball, a dastardly crime is committed — the remaining guests must sift through torn dance cards and poisonous gossip to unmask the culprit.
The only thing colder than this crime is a spurned suitor!
If you or your friends are fans of period pieces, the Regency or Victorian eras, or shows like Bridgerton, Downton Abbey, or The Gilded Age, then this is a perfect fit for you! Note that this plays like most of our other murder mysteries, but the crime in this case is not murder, in case that makes a difference for your group.
Scandal at the Bridgington Ball is a themed mystery party for 8-24 players by Christopher D. Schmitz.
