This Expansion Packet is a supplement to the core Murder at the Midsummer Masque murder mystery game. It adds 8 additional characters (bringing the total to 24) to accommodate larger player groups while preserving the mystery’s balance, pacing, and structure.

How It Works:
The base game includes 16 characters, of which 8 are required for the mystery to function (4 Seelie, 4 Unseelie). These characters contain all essential clues, motives, and story arcs related to the murder. The 8 expansion characters (17–24) are optional but the expansion weaves 8 additional storylines into the broader party. The host should strive to assign the first 16 before adding characters from the expansion.
All the rules from the base game still apply. None of the rules are altered by this expansion.

For the best player experience, do not share with players which characters are in the expansion pack and which are part of the base set. Limit this knowledge as much as possible for the sake of the game.
These expansion roles do not impact the solution to the mystery but enrich the experience with additional intrigue, secrets, and interactions.

Each expansion character receives:
A complete Round One (social rumors, secrets)
A Round Two character card (alibi, suspicions, new discoveries)
A Round Three confessional (outcome/solution)
